Friday Fashion Find 7/15: Lola Haze Romper
We love to romp at SPHQ, so this Lola Haze romper was love at first sight. It's cute, sexy and even has a little bit of a 70s roller girl vibe (you know we LOVE the 70s). We are also totally psyched about seeing Designer Laura Mehlinger and more of the Lola Haze collection at the Curve Lingerie Expo at the end of the month!

Lights Camera Action
This weekend we may have left the office but we were definitely working hard on our photo shoot with Vintage Girl Studios and Lady Luck Boutique. Three gorgeous models showed off our three different styles and we had a ton of fun working (or goofing around) behind the scenes. We aren’t going to give away too much (gotta leave the final photos as a surprise) but here are some behind the scenes shots of our Saturday photo shoot.

Meet Our Sales & Merchandising Intern: Christine Wallace
We loved our Sales & Merchandising Intern Christine Wallace the moment we saw her! Super chic and always trendy, this Johnson & Wales senior is spot on today’s fashion and is already looking to tomorrow’s catchy pieces. She’s got a great eye for design—whether glamming up the Preview Sale cards for Style Week or constructing functional pedestals for our models, Christine has got it covered. Read on to hear what she’s got to say about Barbies, the Greek Isles, and Anna Wintor.
What’s your favorite style of Sexy Period underwear?
Blossoming Beauty!
What motivated you to go into fashion merchandising?
I love the hustle and bustle of the fashion industry. It is an ever changing world that is constantly reinventing itself. That energy is infectious and inspirational to me. I always love a new challenge and I know I will never become stagnant in this industry. There are always new trends, new styles, and new consumers to market them too. Of course there is also my love for fashion which I’ve had from a very young age (my Barbies had more wardrobe changes than Lady Gaga).
What’s the last book you read?
“Anatomy of a Trend” by Henrik Vejlgaard.
Got any hobbies?
I love any DIY projects, whether it making something for my apartment, clothing, accessories, or
revamping old items to make them new again.
Let’s say you just won a vacation for free (lucky you!). Where would you go?
The Greek Isles. After watching Mamma Mia! and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants it’s definitely
a place I would like to experience for myself.
If you had to trade lives with someone for a year, who would you pick?
Anna Wintor, who wouldn’t want to be the editor-in-chief of Vogue?
How would you describe your style?
A mash-up of modern basics and cutting-edge fashion that is always complimented with accessories, especially scarves.
What’s your must-have comfort during that time of the month?
Chocolate of course!
Friday Fashion Find 4/22: TIghts by We Love Colors

With 51 awesome pigments to choose from, you can wear a different one every day of the month! So....what's your favorite? Let us know in the comments section below!

Now you can rock designer dresses and accessories at around a tenth of the price! Our pick for this week is this dressed-up LBD by Robert Rodriguez Black Label. Meet Our Patternmaker: Holly Bronhard
You can thank this lovely woman for the fabulous fit of your Sexy Period panties. We already knew about her passion for patterns, but who knew about her adoration for dance, bling, and Mom? Read on to learn more about our very own patternmaker, Holly Bronhard.
What motivated you to become a pattern maker?
I always loved to sew and do my own thing. I would borrow a sleeve from one style and put it on another, redo necklines, etc., so it was always in the cards.
What’s the last book you read?
The girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
When you’re not busy being a fabulous pattern maker, what do you like to do with your time?
I work out every day at 6am. In the evening after work, I love to socialize with friends and I even dance two nights a week.
Who’s been the most inspirational person in your life?
Hands down my Mother.
How would you describe your style?
I never blend and I love bling and fur.
What’s your favorite thing about being involved with Sexy Period?
Watching the development from initial conceptual drawings to seeing actual sexy lace panties with a function!
If someone wants to make you laugh, they’ve just got to…
Imitate someone. It’s especially funny when my son does it to me…it brings me to my knees when he recites a line from a movie with someone else’s voice.
What’s the best advice you ever got?
Mean what you say, say what you mean, just don’t say it mean.
Meet Our Stylist: Jennie Kay Murphy
When we saw Jennie Kay do Laura’s styling for our first Sexy Period photoshoot, we had to do just about everything to restrain ourselves from holding her hostage for the sole purpose of making us look good every morning. Not only did she put effortless-looking curls into Laura’s hair but she also crafted killer makeup. Jennie owns her own salon in Rhode Island and has worked on everything from 27 Dresses to Jersey Boys to Snoop Dogg. With a total genuine personality to boot, we’d say Jennie’s the ultimate stylist in our book. Maybe if we buy her pistachios she’ll do our makeup every morning??
What’s your favorite thing about being involved with Sexy Period?
I really loved being involved with young motivated people. I know Sexy Period won’t be able to keep these panties on the shelf and I was really excited to be there for the 1st photoshoot.
What motivated you to become a stylist?
Believe it or not the first time I saw Mrs. Doubtfire and The Mask I said I wanted to do hair and makeup for films.
If you had to trade lives with someone for a year, who would you pick?
Tim Burton…I would like to know what goes on in his head.
What’s the snack food you’re addicted to?
Well I’m pregnant right now so it really depends on the day …….today maybe pistachios!
Got any hobbies?
I like crafts, yoga, and sitting in Barnes and Noble reading magazines.
What’s playing on repeat on your iPod right now?
Katy Perry and Sugarland.
What’s your favorite style of Sexy Period underwear?
Blossoming beauty!
What’s the best advice you ever got?
Don’t over analyze everything, and be patient.

Friday Fashion Find 1/14: Betsey Johnson Earrings
We love classic chic with a twist. That’s why this week our Friday Fashion pick is Betsey Johnson’s Leo Drop Flower Tear earrings at betseyjohnson.com. (Ironic that we pick “Leo” earrings considering the current zodiac scandal?…Maybe this Friday Fashion Find is a *sign*!) The delicate flower studs are pretty standard, but Betsey pumps up the volume by adding her signature bling and animal print. Pair with your LBD and you’ll be all set. Thank you, Betsey. We know how we’re accessorizing tonight.

Friday Fashion Find 12/3: Holiday Dresses
The Holidays are here and we’re just as ready to start ripping open presents and decorating our house (ahem…apartment) as you are! This time of year there’s sure to be lots of holiday gatherings which is great for girls like us who like to get dressed up sometimes. Don’t hesitate to show your festive side this season. We’re not suggesting you wear those horrible Holiday sweaters (though admittedly they are super comfy). Fancy it up by donning a soft-colored dress adorned with some lovely sparkle. Chiffon meets sequin in this favorite we found at Bloomingdales.com.

Friday Fashion Find 11/26: Velour leggings
We get it. It’s the day after Thanksgiving, and that “food baby” is probably still sitting pretty in your stomach thanks to grandma’s stuffing and that extra (and oh-so-delicious) helping of pumpkin pie. So give yourself a little wiggle room while keeping it chic by rocking velour leggings like these ones from Kay Unger. Hey, these leggings are so fabulous, we’re guiltlessly digging into Thanksgiving leftovers already!

Friday Fashion Find 11/19: Chunky Jewelry
We know you love to make a statement, so why not let your accessories do it for you this time? Chunky jewelry is the glam way to dress up a classic outfit this season. Pair your everyday pieces with oversized rings or attention-grabbing bracelets like this gem we found at piperlime.com!

Friday Fashion Find 10/22: Bright dahlia pencil skirt
Okay, okay I know… we just featured a skirt from J Crew last week, but the truth is that we’re kind of obsessed with their style this season. I popped into the store in Providence and it was love at first sight with this double-serge wool pencil skirt in the bright dahlia color below. I always find it challenging to find clothes that fit in the professional and fashionable category, so I couldn’t help but grab this one for my winter wardrobe. I’m thinking of pairing it with black patterned tights and heels…always better to be overdressed than underdressed, right?

Inspiration
Guess what’s on the horizon here at Sexy Period HQ? It’s time to think about photography! I decided that it would be helpful to create a collage that reflects our fashion sense. Here’s a sneak peek inside our world as we redesign the website and prepare for photo shoots.

Friday Fashion Find 10/1: Zack Lo shoes
Caitlin and I headed North last night for Boston Fashion Week and we had the opportunity to meet shoe designer Zack Lo. He comes across as a friendly, modest designer who genuinely cares about making products that are comfortable + eye catching. I tried on a pair of black 4″ heels and can confirm that, not only do they make you feel like a million bucks, they are amazingly comfy.

Friday Fashion Find 8/13: Diana by Lauren Merkin
Who said Friday the 13th was unlucky? With Diana, there’s no way that you’ll be caught off guard on this Friday. We love Lauren Merkin’s clutch slash purse slash crossbody shoulderbag in this versatile accessory that comes in every shade of the handbag rainbow.
Though at $195 it may be a tad pricy for our entrepreneur budgets, we can think of tons of ways to rationalize this mini splurge. A) You can use this bag anywhere, anytime. B) Lauren Merkin’s a Brown grad (like us)! C) C’mon…it’s a bag…and it’s so darn cute.

A Star Is Born
If you’ve ever heard Eunice sing, you know that she’s got some powerful pipes. Not only can she belt out Amy Winehouse a cappella style, but she’s also a talented actor. This weekend she will be making her debut at the Stars Community Theatre playing Mimi in a production of Rent! The show is sure to impress, so if you want to go, check out tickets and show times here: http://starscommunitytheatre.wordpress.com/
